Secondo quanto riportato dalla Lega anti-vivisezione gli esemplari bisognosi di assistenza nella zona sarebbero almeno 500, tra cani e gatti. Il servizio veterinario israeliano ne ha evacuati centinaia. Alcuni sono stati trovati abbandonati nei kibbutz, altri sono stati salvati dal gruppo di riservisti “Brothers in arms”
