According to the Swedish Food Safety Agency, 125 cases of salmonellosis after consumption of these products have been reported so far in seven European countries. A count that is probably not definitive. The most affected country is the United Kingdom, where 63 infections have been recorded yet. 'The health authorities are currently examining the possibility of a link between these cases of salmonellosis observed in recent weeks and the ingestion of Ferrero chocolate products', specifies Jean-Sebastien Walhin, the Afsca (Belgian agency for food security (Afsca / Favv)) spokesman.
