Von der Leyen, ministro dell’Uganda la ignora: non le stringe la mano al summit Ue-Africa

L’episodio è accaduto giovedì 17 febbraio durante l’incontro dei vertici Ue con i leader africani a Bruxelles. Odongo Jeje ha salutato solo il presidente del Consiglio europeo Charles Michel e il presidente francese Emmanuel Macron. È stato proprio Macron a indicare con una certa decisione la presenza della presidente della Commissione, finché il ministro ugandese si è girato verso di lei rivolgendole un cenno del capo

Il presidente francese Macron, dopo un iniziale momento di imbarazzo e con Michel fermo sul posto, ha fatto cenno al ministro ugandese, indicandogli von der Leyen

Un episodio simile era accaduto alla presidente della Commissione Ue ad Ankara, nell’aprile 2021. In quel caso il presidente turco Recep Tayyp Erdogan aveva invitato a sedersi sul divano solo Michel. Da qui l’episodio era stato ribattezzato “Sofagate”
