La start-up Sensoworks ha stilato la classifica delle città che emettono più CO2. In testa Handan, seguita da Shanghai e Suzhou. Nella top 25 anche Mosca, Istanbul, Tokyo e New York. In Europa la più inquinante è Francoforte (30esima) mentre il capoluogo piemontese è 52esimo

In cima alla classifica spiccano solo città della Cina: Handan con 200 milioni di tonnellate di Co2 equivalenti immesse in atmosfera ogni anno, Shanghai (190 Mt Co2 eq.), Suzhou (150 Mt Co2 eq.), Dalian (143 Mt Co2 eq.) e al quinto posto Pechino (133 Mt Co2 eq.)
