A MADRID NEL 1983

Non è la prima volta che la Spagna vive stragi simili: il più grave incendio in una discoteca spagnola risale al 17 dicembre 1983, quando le fiamme devastarono i locali dell'Alcalà 20, un locale di gran moda nel centro di Madrid. Quel disastro provocò una bufera politica visto che le indagini dimostrarono che a rendere ancora più tragica la catastrofe fu un guasto all'impianto di illuminazione e una porta di sicurezza chiusa

Dopo quell'incendio la Spagna approvò un pacchetto di norme molto severe per aumentare la sicurezza nei locali. Ma nel 1990 le fiamme nella discoteca Flying di Saragozza uccisero ancora 43 persone
