Il presidente turco Erdogan si dice pronto a risentire sia Putin che Zelensky per cercare di risolvere la questione alimentare. L'Ucraina intanto ha aperto due corridoi terrestri che collegano l'Ucraina alla Polonia e alla Romania e sta cercando di attivarne un terzo verso i Paesi baltici. Bruxelles, mentre continua il dibattito sull'ingresso nell'Unione di Kiev, punta a far passare le merci dalla regione del Delta del Danubio in Romania

Il clima tra Russia e Ucraina rimane molto teso anche sulla questione del grano, soprattutto dopo che il ministro dell'agricoltura ucraino Taras Vysotskyi ha accusato Mosca di aver distrutto fino a 300mila tonnellate di grano, immagazzinate al porto ucraino di Mykolaiv sul Mar Nero

Il trasporto del grano via terra è comunque la strada su cui sta lavorando anche Bruxelles, in attesa che le trattative tra Mosca e Kiev sblocchino i porti. La carta su cui punta l’Unione europea è quella della Romania. Le merci passerebbero dalla regione del Delta del Danubio – al confine con il distretto di Odessa – e uscirebbero poi dall’Ucraina attraverso i canali navigabili (in foto, camion che trasportano grano la confine tra Ucraina e Moldavia)

Gli esiti finora negativi dei negoziati, ha detto il vicepresidente della Commissione Ue Valdis Dombrovskis, sono responsabilità di Mosca. "Sta alla Russia fermare l'aggressione in atto e il blocco dell'export", ha detto Dombrovskis, che ha aggiunto come "nel frattempo faremo tutto il possibile per trovare vie alternative attraverso corridoi terresti"

"Il mio auspicio è che, fra vent'anni, potremo dire di aver preso la giusta decisione", ha sottolineato la presidente della commissione. Zelensky, ancora una volta, ha invece ribadito l'importanza di un simile gesto da parte dell'Ue: "Tenerci fuori dall'Ue va contro la stessa Europa"
