Il premier Boris Johnson ha annunciato misure parziali valide per un mese. Dopo la Francia e il Belgio, anche il cancelliere Sebastian Kurz ha deciso per nuove chiusure su scala nazionale. Il premier inglese Boris Johnson ha annunciato un nuovo semi-lockdown di un mese in Inghilterra, a partire dal 5 novembre. Sono escluse solo le scuole e le università. Il 31 ottobre l'Austria è tornata in lockdown per contenere la pandemia. Il governo ha comunicato una nuova stretta valida fino al 30 novembre, con l'istituzione del 'coprifuoco' e la chiusura di ristoranti, alberghi, istituzioni culturali e sportive. "Un secondo blocco è in vigore da martedì fino alla fine di novembre", ha annunciato il cancelliere Sebastian Kurz in conferenza stampa

Dal 4 novembre anche il Portogallo torna ad un lockdown parziale che riguarderà il 70% della sua popolazione. Lo ha annunciato il premier di Lisbona, Antonio Costa. Limitazione dei movimenti nei comuni con più alto rischio di contagio: si potrà uscire solo per attività essenziali come lavorare, andare a scuola o fare la spesa. "La regola è che dobbiamo restare a casa", ha spiegato il primo ministro

Sempre il 31 ottobre, il premier greco Kyriakos Mitsotakis ha annunciato un parziale lockdown nel Paese. Da martedì 3 novembre bar, ristoranti e altre attività ricreative resteranno chiusi ad Atene e in altre grandi città, e sarà applicato il 'coprifuoco' notturno (dalla mezzanotte alle 5 del mattino). Mitsotakis ha precisato: "Non è un blocco totale come la primavera scorsa"

Il premier greco ha spiegato che da martedì la nazione sarà divisa in due zone: una zona "rossa" e "arancione" ad alto rischio, e una zona "gialla" e una "verde" a rischio minore. Atene e Salonicco saranno incluse nella prima zona con ristoranti, palestre, teatri, cinema e musei chiusi dalle 6 del mattino del 3 novembre

In Belgio, il premier Alexander De Croo ha annunciato nuove misure più severe. Tutti i negozi non essenziali saranno chiusi per un mese e mezzo. Lo stesso accadrà con le professioni da contatto come parrucchieri ed estetisti. Le nuove misure, decise dal Comitato di concertazione del Paese, entreranno in vigore il 2 novembre. Le scuole resteranno chiuse fino al 15 novembre. Il telelavoro sarà obbligatorio

La Francia è in "lockdown light" dal 30 ottobre. In Francia gli spostamenti sono consentiti per portare i figli a scuola, per l'attività fisica o per passeggiate con gli animali domestici. Consentite solo le pratiche individuali come il jogging, mentre le palestre resteranno chiuse. Non sarà possibile fare visita ad amici o parenti, né gli assembramenti, ma resteranno aperti parchi, giardini e spiagge. Per gli spostamenti sarà necessario esibire un'autocertificazione

Chiusure anche in Spagna, ma per il momento soltanto a livello regionale. Madrid spera ancora di scongiurare la chiusura totale. Lo stato d'emergenza varato dal premier Pedro Sanchez qualche giorno fa ha dato la libertà alle regioni di chiudere i propri confini se necessario.
