BGUK_2532905 - Los Angeles, CA - Meghan Markle breaks down in tears in Netflix documentary as she discusses being trolled on social media and getting death threats. Both Meghan and Harry hit out at hateful social media and the credibility given to it by journalists who repeat the ‘hateful’ comments or write stories about it. Harry declared: “I think it’s unethical and an abuse of power.” But it’s Meghan who claims she’s been left scared by threatening Tweets and by stories printed in the papers. Megan wiped away tears as she said: “When you plant a seed that is so hateful, what it can grow into…I mean just a couple of days ago I was going through the manual for the security team at home and on one of the pages I happened to flip to it was about online monitoring. Like: ‘If you see a Tweet like this, please report it to head of security immediately’. And it said: ‘Meghan just needs to die. Someone needs to kill her, maybe it should be me’. And I like: ‘Ok, that’s what’s actually out in the world because of people creating hate’. And I’m a mom, that’s my real life. And then you see it and you go: ‘That’s making people want to kill me’. It’s not just a tabloid, it’s not just some story. You are making me scared. And then that night, I was up all night, looking up and down the hallway, saying: ‘Are we safe? Are the doors locked? Is the security on? That’s real. Are my babies safe? And you’ve created it for what? Because you’re bored? Or because it sells your papers? Or it makes you feel better about your own life? It’s real what you’re doing.” Later in the documentary she is shown crying again after she has a guided meditation session with Prince Harry. The voice of Prince Harry and Meghan's guided meditation instructor is heard telling the couple to inhale and exhale as they sit on a sofa with their palms facing up at the ceiling. She tells the couple: “Remember that what is transpiring in the media, what's being created, is an illusion. When you try to prove that you're good and that you're not the person they say you are, you're taking the bait, you're feeding the beast. It is an illusion. Your work is not to prove your goodness. You know who you are, both of you.” After being told that their session has come to an end, Meghan has tears streaming down her face. Meghan then wipes away the tears as her visibly emotional husband leans his head back on the sofa. Harry then says: “As sad as it is, in order for change to happen, sometimes a lot of pain has to come to the surface.
