Immagini in chiaroscuro che contrappongono le piazze prese d'assalto da folle di turisti ai tempi pre-Covid, a quelle stesse vie del centro storico ora quasi addormentate. "Spero che il Comune colga l'occasione per ripensare l'organizzazione del turismo in città, per renderlo più sostenibile una volta che potremo tornare alla normalità", dice l'autore.

David Pozzati lavorava da tempo a un progetto fotografico sul turismo di massa a Firenze. Dal 2017. Non poteva certo immaginare che le cose sarebbero cambiate così radicalmente. Il centro storico sovraffollato sembra già un ricordo lontano, da quando l’emergenza coronavirus ha quasi azzerato gli arrivi di turisti americani e cinesi

Dopo la fase più difficile dell’emergenza, da inizio estate Firenze ha lentamente cercato di tornare alla normalità, o almeno a un nuovo equilibrio più basato sul turismo interno, italiano. Ora, come molte altre città d’arte, è sospesa nella speranza che le nuove misure restrittive riescano a contenere la seconda ondata del virus
