Era il 24 agosto 2016 quando una scossa di magnitudo 6 fece tremare quattro regioni: Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche e Umbria. Furono 299 i morti e oltre 380 i feriti. Amatrice, Accumoli, Arquata del Tronto furono l’epicentro ma a oltre 1000 giorni dalla tragedia una rinascita è ancora lontana

Rispetto agli 80.346 immobili inagibili (30.392 con danni lievi, 49.954 con danni gravi) finora sono pervenute solo 13.948 richieste di contributi (9.687 per danni lievi, 31,8% del totale; e 4.261 per danni gravi, 8,5%)

Delle richieste di contributo ne sono state accolte 5.325 (31,8% del totale): se si raffronta il dato con il totale di edifici danneggiati, per la maggior parte dei quali però non è stata presentata domanda, emerge che la ricostruzione è avviata solo per il 6,6% del totale

Per la ricostruzione pubblica solo 200 milioni sono stati erogati dei 2,1 miliardi di euro impegnati: finora sono stati individuati e finanziati per il ripristino 1.405 opere pubbliche (tra cui 250 scuole, 942 chiese). In 4 anni ultimati 86 lavori su opere pubbliche e 85 sono in corso

Per quanto riguarda la ricostruzione pubblica, inoltre, sono in progettazione più di 120 interventi, per alcuni dei quali si stanno già avviando le procedure di gara per l'affidamento dei lavori

Intanto, per il centro storico di Amatrice, il cuore antico della città che non c'è più, il Comune sta affidando l'incarico per la redazione del Piano di ricostruzione che riguarda anche le frazioni perimetrate
