Senhit (FOTO) è pronta a salire sul palco della Wiener Stadthalle di Vienna con Superstar, un brano pop che unisce l'energia del clubbing a una profonda carica emotiva, nato dalla collaborazione con Boy George. Si tratta del quarto ritorno di Senhit all'Eurovision Song Contest, dopo le precedenti partecipazioni nel 2011, 2020 e 2021 (LA CLASSIFICA).
Una collaborazione tra icone di generazioni diverse
Boy George, il frontman dei Culture Club, ha co-scritto il brano e contribuisce con la sua voce alla traccia. Per l'artista britannico, 64 anni, si tratta di un debutto assoluto sul palco dell'Eurovision. Lo stesso Boy George ha definito la proposta di partecipare una "bonkers request" - una richiesta assurda - ma ha ammesso di esserne stato attratto proprio perché sentiva il progetto in linea con i lavori più fuori dagli schemi che oggi preferisce. L'incontro tra Senhit e Boy George crea un ponte tra generazioni, fondendo il pop heritage degli anni Ottanta con la sensibilità contemporanea in un dialogo internazionale unico. Senhit ha spiegato il senso di questa scelta: "Gli anni Ottanta per me rappresentano proprio questo: libertà, eccesso, colore, identità. Ecco perché la presenza di Boy George è così simbolica. È un'icona di libertà, di autenticità, di rivoluzione personale".

Il significato
Superstar è un pop anthem che incarna l'attitudine libera e non convenzionale di Senhit: un invito a uscire dall'ombra, a mostrarsi per ciò che si è davvero - cicatrici comprese - e a rivendicare la propria unicità come valore assoluto. "Superstar non è solo una canzone. È una direzione. Tutti siamo delle superstar. Tutti abbiamo una superstar dentro", ha dichiarato l'artista. Senhit ha inoltre ribadito l'importanza del legame con Boy George, descrivendo il progetto come un manifesto di libertà e passione. La frase che chiude il ritornello, "cause baby you're a Superstar", è pensata come un messaggio diretto all'ascoltatore, non una celebrazione dell'ego ma un riconoscimento dell'unicità altrui.
Sul palco della Wiener Stadthalle la performance è curata da Black Skull Creative e prevede una crew di ballerini e coriste - James Mulford, Anders Nielsen, Marion Fagbemi e Kate Ivory Jordan - in uno show luminoso, colorato e ricco di sorprese sceniche. Per San Marino la partecipazione è una vetrina d'eccezione: l'obiettivo è conquistare uno dei posti disponibili per la finalissima di sabato 16 maggio.
