Non ce l’ha fatta Nostalgia di Mario Martone a entrare nella short list per gli Oscar 2023 dei migliori 15 film prodotti fuori dagli Stati Uniti (e girati in una lingua che non è al 50% l'inglese). Un elenco dal quale verrà poi scelta l'ambita cinquina finale delle nomination, che sarà annunciata il 24 gennaio (SEGUI LE NOMINATION IN DIRETTA). La cerimonia degli Academy Awards sarà poi il 12 marzo. L'Academy assegna il premio per il miglior film internazionale (si chiamava allora miglior film in lingua straniera) dal 1957: i film europei hanno dominato vincendo 53 volte, contro cinque vittorie per film dall'Asia, tre ciascuno per Africa e Sud America e uno a testa per Canada e Messico. Soddisfazione invece per Le pupille di Alice Rohrwacher, entrato nella shortlist dei 15 migliori cortometraggi live action: il corto di 37 minuti della regista italiana è stato prodotto dal premio Oscar Alfonso Cuarón con Carlo Cresto-Dina ed è stato finanziato da Disney.
