Sono uscite le nomination per i prossimi Academy Awards, la cui cerimonia di premiazione avrà luogo il 22 febbraio e sarà trasmessa in diretta esclusiva su Sky Cinema 1.
La commedia dark Birdman e il raffinato giallo di ambientazione fantastica The Grand Budapest Hotel hanno fatto il pieno di nomination agli Oscar con 9 candidature. Dietro di loro, nelle cinquine annunciate dalla Academy figurano il thriller ambientato nella Seconda guerra mondiale The Imitation Game con otto nomination e American Sniper e Boyhood con sei.
L'Italia è presente grazie all'italiana Milena Canonero che con Grand Budapest Hotel punta alla sua quarta statuetta per i migliori costumi. La 69enne torinese ha già vinto l'Oscar nel 1976 con Barry Lindon, nel 1982 per Momenti di gloria e nel 2007 con Marie Antoinette di Sophia Coppola
