Charli XCX, fuori il nuovo singolo "Forever": il testo

Charli XCX si è adattata rapidamente al cambio di abitudini causato dall’emergenza Coronavirus e ha sfruttato il periodo d’isolamento per realizzare un nuovo album che verrà pubblicato il prossimo 15 maggio. La cantautrice inglese è stata la prima artista ad annunciare l’uscita di un disco interamente prodotto durante la quarantena. Da “How I’m Feeling Now” (questo è il titolo dell’album) è stato già estratto il singolo di lancio, “Forever”.

Sono passati solo pochi mesi dall’uscita di “Charli”, il disco d’inediti di Charli XCX pubblicato a settembre 2019, ma la cantante britannica è già pronta a pubblicare il suo nuovo progetto “How I’m Feeling Now”, un album creato da zero durante le settimane di isolamento imposte dalla pandemia di Coronavirus. Charli XCX ha scritto e registrato “How I’m Feeling Now” con gli strumenti a disposizione nella sua casa e con la collaborazione (sempre virtuale) dei suoi produttori. «Per me, rimanere positivi va di pari passo con l’essere creativi, ed è per questo che ho deciso di usare questo periodo di isolamento per creare un nuovo album da zero. La natura di questo album è molto indicativa dei tempi che stiamo vivendo in questo periodo perché potrò usare solo gli strumenti che ho al momento a disposizione per creare tutta la musica, tutti gli artwork e tutti i video… Tutto, in questo senso, sarà molto fai-da-te. Contatterò online anche le persone con cui collaborerò e terrò l’intero processo molto aperto, in modo tale che chiunque possa farne parte», questa l’idea di Charli XCX. La pubblicazione di “How I’m Feeling Now” è attesa per venerdì 15 maggio 2020.

Ad anticipare l’uscita del nuovo album “How I’m Feeling Now”, Charli XCX ha condiviso sulle piattaforme di streaming il primo singolo estratto, “Forever”. Il brano è stato realizzato in due giorni con l’aiuto dei collaboratori e producer A. G. Cook e BJ Burton (già al lavoro con BANKS, Bon Iver e molti altri), tra scrittura, registrazioni e video conference su Zoom. Ecco il testo di “Forever”, una canzone che parla d’amore:
